Services Capabilities

Project Financing

In most major projects, ALRC has arranged project financing to accommodate the owner’s shortage when the yearly allocation funds does not match construction progress and when payment tenures are longer than construction. Some of these finances include long-term project structures financing as well as deferred payment options with tenures between 2-3 years

Project Control

A project comprise of a series of phases and activities. A method to harness the entire effort, throughout various stages of project is planning. It defines the activities involved in the project and establishes logical sequence and inter-relationship between activities. Accordingly, a schedule is organized to place the project activities on a working timetable.

Planning is essential to perform a function with minimum wastage of time and effort. The schedule is considered as valuable to the planning phase to guide and monitor performance and control over a set of activities to ensure completion of project at required time. The critical path method (CPM) based schedule prepared at beginning of the project identifies activities critical for achieving timely project completion.

Project Management

The single point project management responsibility provides the project with a swift decision making process, enhances communication with the customer, and provides a full sense of “ownership”. Its objective is to identify, monitor, and correct any deviations from the original scope of work quality, cost, and schedule.
A qualified Project Director is assigned to each Project, thus the project Management system is based on a single point responsibility in all the implementation aspects of the project.
The Project Director is fully authorized and supported on a matrix basis approach for project management, i.e. the allocation of resources from functional departments and sections to satisfy the project needs, by the company’s various departments in the areas of Project Controls, Engineering, Procurement, Administrative & Financial, and Construction, as illustrated in the chart.
Individual Members of the project team are selected from the various functional departments and sections. They report to the Project Director with regard to project’s execution; and report administratively to their respective Department’s Managers. The Department’s Managers have responsibility for the functional and technical integrity of the work of their team member(s).

Construction Management

Highest Quality Construction and civil works constitute an essential part of a successful turnkey project. ALRC’S competence in construction is demonstrated by the successful and timely completion of major civil works for large projects.
The significant resources and years of experience in construction of civil works activities, along with the in-house ownership of a vast fleet of construction and mobilization equipment, have been key ingredients in the success of ALRC in delivering highest quality projects on schedule.
A Matrix type management organization provides resources to the field workforce from within the Construction Department and other Sections. The site Construction Manager reports to the Project Director on project-related matters such as schedule, material and technical problems, and logistics. He receives assistance and instructions from the Head Office construction management on methods, techniques, labor, etc.
